There was a desire to tweak standard thinking about stereotypical garden elements. The Tetris Tile Carpet focused on using contemporary technology as tool and inspiration, re-imaging the thematic exoticism of the traditional California Spanish style home tile ornamentation through the updated exotic prism of modular video games, in this case, the retro 8-bit tile matching of Tetris.
