March 2026Drawing inspiration from symbiosis, Sam uses her own garden as a model, a microcosm of nature’s variation. At first glance the work exudes joy through floral forms and bold colors which upon deeper observation reveal a more intricate expression. The work is complex but never complicated. Featuring work produced within her time living in the San Geronimo Valley, this solo show, Unring the Bell, is a call for renewal and change to occur even when it seems impossible. The color, gesture and form reveal the interplay of the profound emotional significance of flowers which continue to bloom.
